Referral Tracking That Actually Works (Even If People Don't Sign Up Right Away)

When someone clicks your CryptoLivePulse referral link, we do more than just read the code once. We built sticky referral tracking so you still get credit even if the person browses the site first and signs up later.

1) We capture your referral code immediately

The moment a visitor lands on any CryptoLivePulse page with your referral code in the URL, we detect it right away.

Example:

https://cryptolivepulse.com/?ref=YOURCODE

You can link to any page you want.

Just add:

?ref=YOURCODE

If the URL already contains a ?, add:

&ref=YOURCODE

2) We save it so it stays with them while they browse

Most people do not sign up instantly. They click around, read pages, and decide later.

So we store the referral code in the visitor's browser using:

  • A cookie (kept for 30 days)
  • Local storage (as an extra backup)

That way, even if the referral code disappears from the URL while they navigate the site, the referral is still remembered.

3) First click wins (so referrals stay fair)

To keep things fair, we use a first-touch attribution rule.

That means:

  • If someone clicks your referral link first, you are locked in as the referrer.
  • If they later click another affiliate's link, the original referral is not overwritten.

4) Credit is applied automatically at signup

When the visitor eventually signs up:

  • The signup system checks if a referral code is stored
  • We validate the code against our affiliate system
  • We record the attribution in our database
  • We enforce one attribution per user so it cannot duplicate or inflate counts

5) What this means for you

You get credit even if users:

  • Browse multiple pages before signing up
  • Leave and come back later (within the storage window)
  • Sign up without the referral code still visible in the URL

6) Honest edge cases

Like every affiliate platform, attribution can be lost if the user:

  • Switches devices or browsers
  • Uses private browsing mode
  • Clears cookies/storage before signing up

But for normal browsing behavior, the referral stays sticky and reliable.
